Haiti Social Housing Development

The project in Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital city, located in Bowenfield Region, is a project which is designed as 3, 4 and 5 storey buildings with an area of 126 560 m² inland, 82 blocks (1640 houses) with social housing concept.
The ground floors of the houses on the main street side were constructed as commercial areas. Considering the climatic conditions in the region, the main facades are arranged in the North-South direction, thus, the effect of the sun is minimized. The prevailing wind at the east-west direction is taken into buildings through natural corridors in the buildings to provide natural air circulation.
